Android SDK Platform-Tools without the entire SDK

Android SDK Platform-Tools is a component for the Android SDK. It includes tools that interface with the Android platform, such asadb, fastboot, and systrace. These tools are required for Android app development. They’re also needed if you want to unlock your device bootloader and flash it with a new system image.

You no longer need to download and install the entire Android SDK or Android Studio and have Java JDK installed saving you something like 500 MB or even 1,7GB if you choose to download Studio and the burden of keeping Java up-to-date.

You can download the latest Platform Tools here:

https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-darwin.zip

https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-linux.zip

The download is about 4 MB and you just need to unzip it somewhere.
