What to do when you have millions of slightly used phone back in a warehouse in South-Korea? Surely you can remember they recently recalled all of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7s due to their infamous malfunctions. Hankyung, a Korean news source, has reported that the Galaxy Note 7 will roll out again, refurbished, and housing smaller and less explosive prone batteries. The refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will unlikely be seen for sale in the US or Europe, we can possibly expect these phones to hit the markets in several Asian countries.
Out of the 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7s that remained about 20,000 of them were tested to figure out the cause of the problem. The new refurbished Galaxy Note 7 will house 3,000 to 3,200 mAh batteries (compared to the previous 3,500mAh batteries) as well as new casing for the cellphone. This may work well for Samsung as the Galaxy Note 7 still has great features that include their 12mp camera sensor, an aperture of 1.7 with a focal length of 26mm (amongst other things). Therefore, they can potentially re-release the phone at the standards expected of a company like Samsung.
